The new trailer for "Fifty Shades Darker" debuted Tuesday, whipping up a frenzy among fans of the S&M franchise.

It can't rightfully be called a secret: last year's "Fifty Shades of Grey" earned $547 million worldwide at the box office worldwide.
The sequel, which opens in time for Valentine's Day on Feb. 10, is the second installment of a trilogy.
There was some drama off-screen as original director Sam Taylor-Johnson didn't re-up for "Fifty Shades Darker" — reportedly because of on-set feuding with author E.L. James, who doubled as a producer on the film.
She was replaced behind the camera by James Foley, best known for directing "Glengarry Glen Ross" and a batch of "House of Cards" episodes. Foley is currently filming "Fifty Shades Freed" to wrap up the series.
