Here's further proof that it really is the summer of Drake and Rihanna.
The rumored romance partners dominated Spotify's list of "Songs of the Summer" in America, as at least one of them occupied each of the top five songs on the compilation.

Rihanna's "Needed Me" finished in third, while her team-up with Calvin Harris' "The Is What You Came For" placed fourth. Drake's "Controlla," meanwhile, rounded out the top five.

The first other artist who didn't collaborate with either Drake or Rihanna was newcomer Desiigner, whose smash hit "Panda" placed sixth.
The global list, however, was considerably different, with Sia's "Cheap Thrills" and The Chainsmokers' "Don't Let Me Down" both cracking the top four while “Needed Me” and “Controlla” were each omitted.
It's been a whirlwind summer for Drake and Rihanna, who — in addition to their musical successes — have made headlines for weeks about their widely speculated relationship.
Drake only added fuel to the rumors when he kissed and praised the "Work" singer onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards late last month.
