Oy, with the Goop already!
The very first page from the “Gilmore Girls” reboot script was revealed on Wednesday, showing that the Gilmore ladies have some topical pop culture jokes on deck.
While Lorelai and daughter are discussing a flight during the first episode back, Lorelai pokes fun at her daughter’s glowing look after being on an airplane and says, “Admit it. You’ve been Goop’d.”
It’s not unlike the mother-daughter pair to make their own verbs, so Goop-ing was a no-brainer.
Twelve episodes to binge before ‘Gilmore Girls’ comes back
Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai, said once she read the script for the first episode, “Winter,” she knew the banter about Paltrow’s lifestyle brand was “quintessentially Amy and Lorelai.”
Graham and actress Alexis Bledel (Rory) dished on what they thought of the rest of the scripts — the ones the public has to wait until November to hear about.
“I didn't read the last episode for the longest time because I was scared," Graham told Entertainment Weekly.
"I loved how everything was teed up in the first three and I, carrying the burden of everybody in my mind, was like, 'Oh God, what's going to happen?' And to me, it was deeply satisfying – and also it answered questions I didn't even think of. I thought, 'Oh how perfect, wow. I wouldn't even have wondered that,’” the 49-year-old actress continued.
