The Flash After helping Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is overtaken by her lethal alter ego and makes Julian (Tom Felton) her prisoner in this new episode, directed by Kevin Smith. 8 p.m. KTLA

The Middle Frankie (Patricia Heaton) has a hard time keeping her negative opinion of Axl’s (Charlie McDermott) new girlfriend April (Greer Grammer) to herself, while Axl plans to go to more than one of April’s family gatherings. Eden Sher and Atticus Shaffer also star. 8 p.m. ABC

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Jake (Andy Samberg) is desperate to make a good impression on Amy’s (Melissa Fumero) ex-cop father (Jimmy Smits), who comes to Thanksgiving dinner. Andre Braugher and Joe Lo Truglio also star. 8 p.m. Fox

Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise In the two-hour conclusion, Henry Louis Gates Jr. charts the progress (and lack thereof) in racial equality over the past half-century. Former Atty. Gen.  Eric Holder, television producer Shonda Rhimes and civil-rights activist and educator DeRay Mckesson offer insights. 8 p.m. KOCE and KPBS

American Housewife Katie’s (Katy Mixon) self-involved mom (Wendie Malick) visits for Thankgsgiving. Leslie Bibb, Diedrich Bader and Julia Butters also star. 8:30 p.m. ABC

New Girl Peter Gallagher returns as Schmidt’s (Max Greenfield) father,  who brings considerable baggage to the gang’s Thanksgiving dinner. Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson also star. 8:30 p.m. Fox

This Is Us A detour interrupts the family's trip to Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) parents’ home for Thanksgiving. 9 p.m. NBC

No Tomorrow Evie and Xavier (Tori Anderson, Joshua Sasse) try to be honest with each other, but it’s not easy. 9 p.m. KTLA

Dancing With the Stars Hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews recap the journeys of those who have made it into the finals before one of the three finalists is named the winner in the season finale. 9 p.m. ABC
